By: Richard Luscombe
Luscombe has a passionate tone one that you can feel the rage and disappointment. You can feel when reading his strong diction, diction which he uses to prove a point, to fight back. Luscombe has a bias in his writing. He writes because a child was shot at a school she attended for an education and it was a 'miracle' she was alive, a 'miracle' for her to survive getting an education and having to experience trying to be killed. Luscombe writes to inform of this tragic event. An event which the president apparently only gives condolences but no action. Luscombe writes about how grateful this child was for living and how grateful she was they saved her life. And in order to give background as to what the government is doing Luscombe informs the readers of what is currently going on and is being done for the protection of children. This article has a strong appeal to pathos, pathos appeals in the way that rage is flowing through several readers bodies because of the fact students had to endure such a horrific event. This post was created to create awareness of the survivors of this event and the pain they had to endure. Luscombe decided to inform his audience so they could have gun control awareness and the effect guns have on the world. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/feb/26/florida-shooting-madeleine-wilford-miracle-recovery
